A Shoppers Drug Mart in Strathroy, Ontario is looking to cover relief shifts every month until they find a new full time pharmacist.

Regular operating hours: Monday through Sunday 8am to 10 pm

Techs on duty - Monday to Friday always a technician on from 8am to 10pm. Up to 5 techs on at the same time mid-day. Also have a pharmacy cashier from 9am to 9pm most weekdays. Saturday - 1 tech from 8am to 4 pm and a cashier from 10am to 6pm. Sunday - 1 tech from 9am to 5pm and a cashier from 10am to 2 pm

They provide at least 2 hours of pharmacist overlap Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. They often provide an additional 4 hours on Monday and Thursday although that is typically booked up with Med Checks.

Script volume - Monday to Friday 250 to 350. Saturday and Sunday 125 to 200. They also do compliance packs for a group home and community patients. They do Med Checks and agressively book patients. They recently completed 30 Med Checks in the month of December.

Methadone - They are a methadone dispensing pharmacy for approximately 15 patients. Patients must sign a conduct and program agreement which they rigorously enforce. As a result, the program runs very smoothly and they enjoy it.

They will pay a mileage allowance for relief at the going rate (0.40/km)

Relief dates:
Jan 23 3pm - 10pm
Jan 24 3pm - 10 pm
Jan 28 3pm - 10 pm

Feb 4 either 8am to 4pm or 2pm to 10pm
Feb 5 either 8am to 4pm or 2pm to 10pm
Feb 6 either 3pm to 10pm
Feb 7 3pm to 10pm

February 2 from 2pm to 10pm.
Feb 18 to 28. Unknown

Also a variety of shifts available in March for the 1st to the 20th

In regards to the full-time posting, there is nothing different about that position other than what’s listed above. Some evenings and weekends are required although They all try to remain flexible to accomodate each other’s needs. The manager works the majority of weekends to give the staff pharmacists the benefit of more weekends off.

Even if they fill that position, They will still need some relief on an ongoing basis as they also have a part-time vacancy and would like to keep the schedule flexible for all involved.
