DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creating a customer focused environment that excels in customer/patient care
Dispensing prescriptions and consulting with patients maximizing OTC sales
Accurate dispensing of all prescriptions
Compliance with all Federal & Provincial legislation
Reporting any dispensing errors found or reported to the Pharmacy Manager and
Head Office within 24 hours
Professional advice and applicable dialogue with patients on prescription and OTC
products
Minimizing shrinkage in areas such as damaged goods returns, internal and external theft and implementing proper pricing and receiving procedures
Responsible for supervising ongoing follow-up and collection of third party receivables
Training, motivating and performance evaluation of dispensary staff in association with the Pharmacy Manager
Maintaining the dispensary inventory level within the prescribed guidelines through
accurate perpetual inventory records
Supervising Pharmacy Technicians to ensure completion and/or accuracy of
Ordering replenishment merchandise under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager
Checking off all incoming pharmaceutical orders
Ticketing current cost process and maintaining perpetual inventory on this merchandise
The daily operation, security and upkeep of the dispensary computer, including daily and weekly data back up
Ensuring that the dispensary area meets Katz Group Ltd's maintenance standards
Effective two-way communication with customers, store employees, Front Store Manager, Pharmacy Manager, Regional Management, physicians, suppliers, Head Office, and all other pharmacists
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Pharmacy license to practice in the province in which you are applying
Experience in retail pharmaceutical systems and dispensing procedures
Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Strong customer / patient satisfaction orientation
Ability to maintain the optimum balance between the profession of pharmacy and
business of pharmacy
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work productively as a member of a dynamic and fast-paced team
