Salary/Benefits: This position is classified as a M2-1. Minimum: $85,500 annually. Maximum: $128,500 annually.
Responsibilities/Duties:
The Manager, Pharmacy Services, Southeast, is a key leadership role in Clinical Support Services and reports directly to the Director, Pharmacy Services, South Zone. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, leadership and organization over the activities of the organizational Southeast Pharmacy functions in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. These activities also will include the integration of various resources to carry out these activities. The position is also responsible and accountable for making key decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for establishing and contributing to the achievement of the goals of the Southeast Pharmacy. * For a more in-depth position summary, please request a job description from the Corporate Human Resources Office.
Qualifications:
A minimum of Baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy, and eligible or currently registered with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
A minimum of 5 years in a hospital pharmacy role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (healthcare experience an asset).
A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.
Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
Progressive leadership experience in a hospital pharmacy environment, including 2 to 3 years experience in a management role in hospital pharmacy operations
Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services
Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others
Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues
Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment
Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector.
Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long term plans and projects and deliver customer-focused results.
Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partners

Must have a recent (within the past three months) Criminal Record Check/Police Information Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) prior to the first date of hire.
Must have acquired AHS immunizations within the first ninety (90) days of employment.
